Make Waves

KlimateNet has been partnering with filmmaker Sarah Macdonald since 2023 to amplify the impact of powerful climate documentaries rooted in local action. The community has supported awareness and screenings of Blue Carbon at leading venues including Microsoft Reactor London, Amazon HQ in London and Paris, Soho House, and across India, as well as attending the film’s official launch in France. Through its network of engaged professionals, KlimateNet has helped extend the reach of Make Waves films such as The Great Green Wall and Blue Carbon, connecting them with wider and influential audiences.

Reflecting on the partnership, Sarah Macdonald says: “KlimateNet has built an unique community of professionals dedicated to support and optimise the impact of credible climate projects founded by and with local communities. No one better than residents working and living for and with nature can help with addressing climate change. KlimateNet has helped with the outreach of Make Waves films the Great Green Wall and Blue Carbon showing them to a larger audience. I am thrilled that they are ready to support our next mission, Beautiful Resistance about First Nation local communities in Alaska.”
