Biochar Life is a social enterprise and Public Benefit Corporation that works with smallholder farmers—especially in Southeast Asia and Africa, to turn agricultural waste into biochar, helping sequester carbon, improve soil health, reduce smoke pollution, and create income by selling verified carbon removal credits.
Since 2022, KlimateNet communauty has been supporting Biochar Life groundbreaking biochar mission including investing in their We funder Crowdfunding platform last year.
Biochar Life is generating revenues for farmers in Kenya and Thailand training them to produce Biochar.
Biochar Life revenues selling Biochar Carbon Credits allowed them begin repayments to Biochar Life investors this quarter. Per the terms, 2% of sales are allocated will be distributed to Wefunder investors. Going forward, they will continue to make quarterly repayments of 2% of sales.
